Case-Mate I.D. iPhone Case.
I personally don't own an iPhone. I'm still in 2008 using the Blackberry Curve 8100. But I've toyed with the idea of jumping ships into the iPhone world. This phone case is persuading me more.
Im the type of guy that doesn't like a bunch of shit in his pockets and this is perfect for iPhone owners alike.

Roc Raida
Today another inspiration of my turntablism days has passed away. When I first started DJing and particularly scratching everyone was pushing me to do body tricks into my routines. Really, I thought they were pointless and were all for show. I got the "Scratch" DVD by Doug E. Pray a few years back and they had a feature with the X-Ecutioners. I remember seeing Roc Raida in a small clip of the DMC he won. He was flying back in fourth, spinning around and moving records with his chin. It was insane. It was a level of turntablism that I never imagined. I had a new found respect for Roc and he's style. I always had mad respect for him. Rest In Peace Anthony Williams, AKA Roc Raida.

I hate to see great things go sour.
I blame coachella and all hipster kids that go to see the headlining act (i.e. the cure, tool.. or some other band) and our privileged with seeing amazing performances like Etienne.

Jordan Melo M6
Jordan line has been pumping out kicks left and right like octo mom giving birth. New word has surfaced that Carmelo Anthony's 6th shoe from the Jordan Line with be released sometime during the 09-10 NBA season. Personally, these are a disappointment to what other shoes JL is putting out like the Fusions and all the Count Down packs. Signature lines out side of Jordan's himself have been a bust. Keep and eye out for newly added Dwayne Wade's signature shoe to drop on the Jordan brand as well.

Imitations.
Michael Jackson's death was unexpected and devastating for me. I wanted to post a tribute or some sort of montage that was a reflection on what he meant to my life as a whole, and i may still get around to it.
Living in LA i see alot of street walkers imitating MJ dancing or singing. I have my favorites, but this by far takes that prize, For now.

OK! so i've returned to the blogging world. I've deleted my Myspace Account and Facebook. I dont see the need for people to pry into my life or even care at all about my personal business when to be frank I dont really care about theirs. I would think, you would be more interested in things that I think are interesting.. make sense? So i've returned with some golden eggs, some more videos, some more shoes... enjoy.

I'm okay, in a disabled veteran kind of way.
To watch towers be built and stand tall and strong.
To watch them crumble to the ground and be wrong.
To watch people's hearts open up and guide you in.
To watch people misguide you with sin.
To watch love grow and create hope.
To watch you die in side and choke.
To watch everything you ever dreamed of taken from you.
To watch everything be untrue.
To watch your self on the ground helpless and defenseless.
To watch your self become an utter mess.
To watch your self stand back up and start from the beginning.
To watch your self find hope again and restore meaning.
To watch your self
Stand back up.
Stand back up.

It's almost been a month without any post.
Im a blogger poser.
But, for good reason. I've been extremely, extremely busy with school work and though I would love to write frequently on my blog with all interesting post, It's just impossible at this point in my life. I can't dedicate my life to blogging, there is much more out there for me. And that is in no way a shot to any of the bloggers that read mine, its just reality.
But in related news,
i'm dating a very beautiful girl named Analise Sasha Kalpakoff. Did I have to list her whole name? Yes. Why? Because she means that much to me.

Did i have to post a picture? probably not, but again she means that much to me.
Lately i've had to put Dj'ing aside because of school, but i've picked up the guitar again and have been play quite frequently. I really need to get sleep as well, as you can see im posting this roughly around 5 in the morning. I have a seriously problem. But sooner than later i will be posting music, clothing, funny video (also of me my friends), and hopefully just good vibes.
Wish me luck on my school work. Great things are coming up, spring break being one of them.

Behringer BCR2000
Behringer BCR2000

My BCR2000

All you audio fags can talk as much shit on Behringer as much as you want, the BCR2000 is a Class A MIDI control and I'll rock it till i find something else worth buying.
There are so many controllers out there, and for the price that they go for none of them are worth it.
The BCR2000 is about 140.00USD NEW... And its full rotary, that comes with presets and is fully combatable with Ableton(my primary production/dj software), Reason, and Cubase(New industry standard)
Many will say as well.. if its good enough for Bangalter and Guy-Manuel then its good enough for them.

And i know it may seem like im always jocking daft punk and bangalter, but to tell you the truth.. it really is just a good control for the money.. if i had the money and the APC40 was available i would get it. But this will do for now.
I plan on posting video soon of me using the BCR2000 and Ableton together to make a set. Stay tuned.

Valentines Day w/ Tracy Morgan.
Alright,
Sad, but true, I am alone this Valentines Day so I'm trying to keep my spirits up with pancake breakfasts and funny stand up comedy. This is Tracy Morgans stand up I'm pretty that was done around his last year a SNL. So dirty, at the most inappropriate times, but done so well its hilarious. Enjoy this single people!
(Super Long 9 parts! It's sort of chopped up, but you get the picture)

Nike Dunk X Coraline.
Sometimes Nike comes out with some concept dunks that blow my mind. These dunks are based on the the new film coming out this winter called "Coraline". Created by the same people that did "Nightmare Before Christmas" it will be a great visual experience. With only 100 limited available, i only have two words to say to you. Good luck. (The cotton Candy makes them MORE exclusive... lol jk)

Ok, im simply taking a video from John Carluccio's blog feed of his short he made about his friend Ari Forman. It looks amazing and once it comes out, every sneaker head i know will be exposed to this as long as i have the youtube embed. Enjoy this, it belongs right under the Apparel and Sneaker Link on the right. Cut Copy - Far Away ( Hercules & Love Affair Remix)
Ok, I LOVE Cut Copy, and I LOVE this song far away, and usually i'm pretty sketchy on remixes when i love the original so much. But I have to say this is a total exception.
I just got back from the kick off for the 2009 Guitar Center Dj Competition, Held in beautiful Covina, California. I feel like I should post something "scratch" related, and i want to but i can't find to many clips of "Battle Sounds" the documentary by John Carluccio. I want this movie SO bad.. but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I own "Scratch" the Doug Pray film, and "Hang the Dj" but no Battle Sounds. I found some pretty decent clips that might do the film justice so ill post those up tomorrow. CHEERS!

Akai APC40 + Ableton Live
The annual music product trade show NAMM (National Associations of Music Merchants) was held this year and oh did they come out with the big guns. One of my best friends Ryan some how, some way, sneaked in to the convention using a random Asian man's alias, or something along those lines. Music Merchants display their new products coming out for the upcoming year, this one being 2009. Since the products have not hit the shelves (so to speak) yet, it is a very exclusive convention that is invitation only. There where many interesting products that are worth blogging about (like the new Rane TTM-56S, and the Live[2] - Serato Scratch Live + Ableton software which i will be sure to blog about later, and of course, Ableton Live 8) But one in particular that caught my eye, and Ryan's at most.
The Akai APC40

Since i've started using Ableton, I've sucked huge balls. But now with a hardware MIDI controller i feel like things might get a little bit more convenient. Using a mouse to control the "knobs" on the operators and midi effects, and even the faders was really hard for me coming from a dj mixer hardware background. I've always wanted something more tangible and now i have it. The LED pads help you distinguish each clip and midi effect and the knobs help give expressions virtually to anything in Ableton. Since I've started making music as well now (arranging and composing tracks), I've always been a huge fan of Akai, and their MPC models. Taking the elements of both world is a marriage that was meant be consummated and create the APC40. Although Serato just came out with a new interface box, SSL 1.9 software and A new mixer.. i think people are going to start catching on to Ableton once they experience the flexability and production capabilities in a live setting from the software. Or, I could be wrong.

Refused Are Fucking Dead.
Refused were an AMAZING hardcore band from Sweden that reined underground hardcore champs from 1991-1998. So many bands site Refused for being a huge influence on their sound. For me, Refused in bodied everything that was punk, and hardcore, to the point where though they were a hardcore band, they bridged the gap between hardcore and punk.. because at the time, that was punk to them. The two genres mixing together was unheard of, they where both in their own respected rights, two separate elements in rock n' roll. Like Cream and Operation IVY, Refused broke up right at there peak. Refused made a documentary entitled "Refused Are Fucking Dead", and it is by far one of the rawest most well put together doc's by any band. Here it is divided into four parts, enjoy this very much because i did.

No One Cares To Understand Who is the Meat, And Who is The Butcher.
Who is the Butcher? I am the Fucking Butcher.
I can say there has been two MAIN influences in my guitar playing, there has been many guitar players who have inspired me, but only two who have had major impacts on my guitar playing and writing.
One being Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine, with out listening to a Rage album and hearing A guitar player try to mimic a DJ and synth only with a guitar and amp? It was mind boggling. Tom (Morello) is the reason i picked up a guitar in the first place.
The second guitar player is Justin Beck, From Glassjaw.
I first heard "Everything you need to know about silence" early in my high school years. I heard a guitar player, who was Todd Weinstein, and something else over the guitar playing, sort of like a robot playing a guitar making it with crazy noises and sounds. And that was Justin Beck. Since i had just a great appreciation for Tom Morello's style, once i heard Justin Beck it was enough for me. Justin Beck made me want to start writing, make music, and make music that i liked. Glassjaw is a Band from Long Island, New York with a hip hop influence who started the whole "post hardcore" sound with heavy riffs, melodic singing and screaming, and ambient sounds all in one. Many bands followed after, but never like glassjaw, or even close, ever. period. I can say ever so homo-ly that glassjaw changed my life, and i hope this is a good example of why.
I know its labeled as Indie, but what are you gonna do. If anything, glassjaw doesnt have a label.
p.s. more post coming soon, lots of funny videos and some stuff from NAMM and cool new apparel that i found.

I'm not gonna lie, the original of this song is horrible. But of course, the remix is better.. which in some cases isn't always true.

Macbook wheel a sham.
I wanted to write about the new "Macbook Wheel" because i was completely infuriated. How could mac come out with something so ridiculous? It was not a surprise because Mr. Steve Jobs is know for something outrages like this.. And since he's about to leave Apple due to a major illness.. i could see him going out with a bang. And this would give my best friend Ryan so much more of a Edge on how much he hates Apple products.. but to MY surprise.. it was just a joke.. The Onion came out with a spoof on the product so my furry has went away, any who... here is the video of the spoof.

At Dawn.
I started spring semester today.. And as long as I've had a collegiate career, ive never had a class earlier than 9 am. And im far from being a morning person, in fact i love the night. My earliest class today started at 7:30am, and what makes it even more amazing is that its only offered at that time. Thank you lord for caffeine. Here's video of me sitting in my car contemplating if i should go into class.
I know its side ways, but what are you gonna do.. i don't have a video editor and photobucket wasn't having it.
I know its side ways, but what are you gonna do.. i don't have a video editor and photobucket wasn't having it.
If you like it then you should have put a ring on it.
Ever since the spoof on SNL of Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg being Beyonce's back up dancers in her single ladies video there has been hundreds of videos of people trying to do the dance. This is hands down the funniest one, because i think this guy is extremely serious, and im not gonna lie.. its pretty amazing.
Caked Out.
There is alot of small t-shirt companies that come out annually, but i think caked out stands out from alot of the others. Very similar to my boy Aaron LaCrate's clothing line Milk Crate Athletics, Funny satire of "get rich" stereotypes are put as graphics on the tee's. The t-shirts are very simple but fun enough to make a statement. The company has been around for only 3 seasons and i can see the improvements in each one. Watch out for Caked Out.
O'neal Mcknight - Champange Red Lights
Wow. Another banger for Mcknight to follow up "Check Your Coat". I can't wait till he come's out with his album. O'neal Mcknight - Champange Red Lights {ft. Heavy D & Big Ali}

Due to come out sometime in March, theses sneakers are a huge buzz around the globe for sneaker fiends. He designed the sneaker based on his liking on the Ato Matsumoto Cow Hide Boots he found in Japan.

They look extremely similar to the Cow Hide Boot, im not to sure Ato will be happy about this. Never the less, theses sneakers will sell like hot cakes at any price. Ato Cow Hide Boots sell for around 200.00 euro, and im sure the Air Yezzy will be some where around there as well.
